Novelisto is an editorial theme for self-publishing authors. It uses warm cream tones, a muted terracotta accent and typography chosen for reading, with Cormorant Garamond for headings and Inter for text.
The theme is built around four kinds of content:
- Books: presented with covers, blurbs, genres, series details and shop links
- Book Excerpts: sample chapters in a calm reading layout, linked to their book
- Events: readings, signings and appearances, listed by date with booking links
- Reviews: reader and press quotes with optional star ratings
Key features
- A front page that builds itself from your content: hero, books, newsletter band, events, reviews and journal posts
- An author page with portrait and a contact page with a book teaser
- Colours & Fonts settings with three font pairings, and social profiles with header icons
- Four footer widget areas and a main sidebar
- Minimal plugins, self-hosted fonts and no third-party connections, so the writing comes first
