Show yourself in the about section of the front page.
In this tutorial I will show you how to fill the about section on your front page.
1. Create a page about yourself. Give it a title such as About Me, write your text, and set a featured image (a portrait works well).
2. Add a short summary in the Excerpt field of that page. This short version is what appears on the front page.
3. Go to Appearance > Customize > Front Page and choose that page under About section: page.
The about section then shows your portrait, your name or page title, your short summary and a button leading to the full page.
If you would rather write a separate short text just for the front page, type it into About section: text in the same Customize panel. That text wins over the page excerpt. If you leave it empty, the theme uses the page excerpt, and if there is none, the opening lines of the page.
