Set a static front page so the author sections appear.
In this tutorial I will show you how to set your front page.
Escritora has a special front page that shows your hero, your newest book, your bookshelf, excerpts, reviews, an about section and a contact section. To use it, WordPress needs to know which page is your front page.
1. Create a new page called Home. It can be left empty; the theme fills it with your content.
2. Create a second page called Blog, if you want a news or blog area. Leave it empty too.
3. Go to Settings > Reading.
4. Under Your homepage displays, choose A static page.
5. Set Homepage to Home, and Posts page to Blog if you made one.
6. Save.
Your front page now shows the author sections. While a section has no content yet, it either hides itself or shows a tasteful sample, so the page always looks complete.
