Set and compose the front page with its widget areas.
In this tutorial I will show you how to set up the front page.
1. Create a page named Home and, if you want a blog, a page named Blog.
2. Go to Settings > Reading and set Your homepage displays to A static page. Choose Home as the homepage.
3. Apply the Front Page template to your Home page if prompted, so the front page widget areas appear.
The front page is composed from several widget areas, found under Appearance > Widgets: the two Front Page Widget Areas and the Homepage Widget Areas. Drag widgets into them to build your layout. Empty areas simply do not show.
