Build your navigation and footer menus.
In this tutorial I will show you how to build your menus.
- Go to Appearance > Menus.
- Click create a new menu, give it a name, and click Create Menu.
- Add pages from the left, such as Home, About, Journal and Contact.
- Drag the items into the order you want. Drag an item slightly right to make it a sub-item.
- Under Menu Settings, tick Primary Menu, and Footer Menu if you want a second menu in the footer.
- Save.
Books, Excerpts and Events are added to the primary menu for you if you do not add them yourself.
A good primary menu for an author is simple: Home, Books, Excerpts, Events, About, Contact.
A concise, transparent menu assists readers in navigating easily.
