Home And Front Page

Set a static front page so the author sections appear.

The Novelisto theme includes a specialised front page with a hero, your books, a strip of links, a newsletter band, events, reviews and your latest journal posts. To use it, set a static front page in WordPress.

1. Create a new page called Home. It may remain empty; the theme fills it automatically.
2. Create a second page called Journal for news and blog posts (optional, leave empty).
3. Go to Settings > Reading.
4. Under Your homepage displays, select A static page.
5. Choose Home as the homepage and Journal as the posts page.
6. Save changes.

Your front page now shows the author sections. While a section has no content yet, it shows a sample or a short note, so the page always looks complete.
